Yamagata University launches 5-year doctoral program in organic material systems - Innovative Flex Course for Frontier Organic Material Systems at Graduate School of Science and Engineering

YU Graduate School of Science and Engineering launches a new doctoral program in its own pioneering field of organic material systems. YU will soon be accepting applications internationally to select a few outstanding candidates for the new program commencing in April 2013.

The five-year program is designed to develop future global leaders with value creating skills in organic materials and planning. The program will pay for a majority of the students’ tuition, cost for the specially designated graduate and professional dormitory housing and a monthly stipend for other living costs. YU will offer program candidates both broad and specialized academic and research training in Japan and overseas with a vast network for organic materials R&D.

As a pioneer and leader in the new field of science engineering, YU boasts world’s top-rate faculties in organic materials research ranging from organic LEDs, organic solar cells and organic transistors. Its outstanding lab facilities are all situated in the campus area making a globally unprecedented opportunity for an integrated R&D process from synthesis to device manufacturing and evaluative analyses of organic materials.
